MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

INTRODUCTION

Mechanical Engineering is a highly versatile and diversified engineering discipline. On one hand it is concerned with the design of machines and equipment that use energy and convert it into useful work. On the other hand it deals with the design and development of machines that are used for manufacturing or production equipment. The department is offering a four years degree program leading to B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering.

To impart the quality education in a congenial atmosphere enabling students to develop professional skills to contribute towards sustainable socioeconomic development of the country.

To produce responsible professional engineers equipped with sound knowledge and high moral values that could evolve themselves as future professional leaders.

The educational objectives of the Department of Mechanical Engineering are to develop professional skills in students and prepare them for immediate employment in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
